We are dedicated to helping women develop and maintain a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to build relationships with one another through fellowship and service. Is that something you’ve wondered? Most women do. Whether you are a new woman to
the church or you have been here for years, you still want to fit in. There is a
place for you! And God has a purpose for you! Our purpose as Christians and Sisters
of the Heart is to glorify God and serve others.
What is your “Shape?” God has given you a unique shape. In the Purpose Driven Life,
Rick Warren talks about your S.H.A.P.E . “S” stands for your Spiritual gifts, “H”
stands for your heart or passion, “A” stands for your abilities or natural skills,
“P” stands for your personality, and “E” stands for your life experiences… the good
and bad events in your life. These are different for all of us. God creates us all
with our own individual gifts and talents. Therefore, God needs all of us together
to fulfill His purpose. None of us can do it alone!
Women’s Ministry needs you! You will see as you browse through this website, that
there are many ministries in which to serve. It takes all of us, all of our gifts
and talents to minister to the body of Christ and to our community and beyond! Please
be in prayer about where God would have you serve, and come along side your Sisters

Dear Ladies,
Do you know that you are very precious to God? In His great love, He formed you
with capable, caring hands. He calls you daughter; He honors you and loves you with
an everlasting love. There is nothing you can do that will ever cause His love to
falter. You were made in the image of God; in all of His magnificent creation, nothing
compares to you.
The Women’s Ministry of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church is here on behalf of all women.
Our ministry leaders want to encourage you, pray for you and help you find balance
in the joys and challenges of everyday life. They are here to help you fulfill your
purpose in life and to assist you in meeting your spiritual needs.
There are Bible study classes, worship opportunities and special events to help
you grow and maintain a deep personal relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
My prayer for you is to experience the presence of God in your life through participation
