What is Cobb Street Angels?

Cobb Street Angels is a BHBC organization that supports the work of Cobb Street Ministries, a local shelter and rehab center. Cobb Street “Angels” teach, tutor, mentor, do maintenance and repairs, provide prepared meals, childcare, donations of food and household goods, and respond to other needs as they present themselves at Cobb Street Ministries.

What is Cobb Street Ministries?

Cobb Street Ministries was organized 32 years ago by Carol and Harvey Paschal to heal spiritually, emotionally, and physically; and to house, feed, clothe, comfort, educate, and provide other needed help to homeless, addicted, pregnant, or otherwise distressed women, children, and sometimes entire families in the Cobb County area. It has grown to provide an eighteen-month program to help individuals identify the causes and solutions to their homelessness, addiction, or abuse, while providing them with support and a place to live in a homelike environment. It is both shelter and sanctuary.

What is our purpose?

Cobb Street Ministries' first purpose is to show the hurting person the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Burnt Hickory Baptist Church has partnered with Cobb Street Ministries through its InsideOut Missions Ministry to assist Cobb Street in accomplishing this goal. The Women’s Ministry at Burnt Hickory plays a major role in helping the church assist Cobb Street minister to these women and children. There are many needs.
