Friends of Victoria
What is Friends of Victoria?
This ministry builds "Baskets of Love" to be donated to Victoria’s Friends to help
support their ministry. Items for the gift baskets are donated by members of Burnt
Hickory Baptist Church and then we assemble them. Next, Victoria's team distributes
the gift baskets in the dressing rooms of clubs in the Atlanta area. The Women's
Ministry of BHBC would like to invite you to help make a difference in the lives
of these ladies. All it will cost you is a little time and a few items to put in
a basket. The results will show hope and love to a lost woman.
What is "Victoria's Friends"?

Victoria’s Friends helps women who are currently employed in the adult entertainment
industry and those who are looking to exit the business. It was the power of the
Holy Spirit that transformed Victoria Teague's life, and now it is through the power
and guidance of the Holy Spirit that Victoria's Friends exists. They sponsor an
outreach program that takes "Baskets of Love" directly into the dressing rooms of
clubs in the Atlanta area. Victoria knows the pain and loneliness that often accompanies
this lifestyle and is now returning with her teams to the dressing rooms of these
clubs to offer the support she could not find when she needed it. For more information

How often do you do basket assembly nights?
To start, we plan to do one basket assembly night per quarter. Hopefully that can
become more frequent as people make picking up items to donate a part of their every
day routine. We meet in the Activities Room upstairs and it typically has taken
about an hour to assemble 30-40 baskets. Our scheduled dates for "Baskets of Love"
assembly are:

- June 10, 2010
Important information about these "Baskets of Love"...
Victoria's Friends emphasizes that these women are not homeless and they ask that
the items in the baskets be new, unused and something special that you would give
your sister or best friend or want to receive yourself. Both the
New Mexico and the Cobb Street
Angels ministries would be happy to take your donations of unused toiletry
items and hotel samples.
What kind of donations are you looking for?
- Medium or Large Baskets with a Handle
- Embellished or Straw Purses, Cute Tote Bags, etc.
- Picture Frames, Trinkets, & Jewelry
- Bibles, Devotional Books, & Bookmarks
- Makeup, Perfume, & Nail Polish
- Candles & Stuffed Animals
- Journals, Stationery, & Nice Pens
- Chocolates
- Inspirational Books (relevant subjects that would be meaningful to the ladies)
- Beauty, Lotion, & Shower Items (Bath & Body Works, Mary Kay, etc. Not drugstore
types, please.)
- Inspirational Music CDs & DVDs
